Fire
Jordan (our son) lives a few miles away from home, renting a 4 bedroom home with 3 friends. Friday he prepared for his night shift by going to bed about noon and quickly fell asleep.

Soon he was awakened by Daniel (a house mate), saying the house was on fire. Evidently the wiring to the central air conditioning unit had sparked a blaze on the side of the house.
They quickly subdued the fire with a garden hose and called the fire department. Firemen quickly arrived (5 trucks) and began tearing into the wall where the fire had been. While they were chasing the fire in the wall it broke out into one of the bedrooms upstairs, catching a bed on fire.

Soon the fire was totally contained, causing remarkably little damage… but creating a lot of hassles for the occupants and the landlord.
We count our son’s safety as a miracle, because:
- Daniel was the only house mate at the house besides Jordan.
- Daniel should have already been on the road to Dallas, but had been delayed by several minor things.
- There were no smoke detectors in the house to alert anyone to the fire. Daniel just happened to smell the smoke.
- Jordan is a very sound sleeper, and may not have awakened to the fire.
- Only a small amount of personal property was lost to fire or water damage.
We thank God for Jordan’s safety, and credit Daniel for saving his life.
Thank you, Daniel. We know God was involved, but…
YOU DA MAN!!
